Jordan has always held a special place in my heart. Having visited this beautiful country over seven times, my last trip being in 2014, I was excited to return and see how it had evolved. This 8-day, 7-night adventure, thanks to an invitation by Visit Jordan and the Jordan Tourism Board, was a mix of nostalgia and new discoveries
Day 1: Amman – Where Old Meets New
My journey began in Amman, a city I’ve visited before but always find something new to admire. This time, we checked into the Radisson Blu Galleria Hotel, an intriguing property uniquely built inside a shopping mall. The lobby and some rooms overlooked the bustling mall, making it an unusual yet fascinating experience.
Our itinerary for the day included visits to Mount Nebo, the biblical site where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land, and Madaba, famous for its exquisite mosaics. We also visited the Cave of the Seven Sleepers, a site rich in spiritual and historical significance. It was wonderful to revisit these iconic places and see how they continue to inspire visitors.
Day 2: Aqaba – The Red Sea’s Coastal Charm
A short Royal Jordanian flight took us to Aqaba, a city I’ve always enjoyed for its coastal charm and vibrant energy. We toured the local sights before heading to the luxurious Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort, which offered unparalleled comfort and stunning views of the Red Sea.
Day 3: Aqaba – Diving Into Adventure
The third day was dedicated to exploring the Red Sea’s underwater treasures. We embarked on a full-day boat tour. Aqaba’s clear waters and rich coral reefs made it an unforgettable day. Returning to the Hyatt Regency for another night of indulgence reminded me why Aqaba is always worth revisiting
Day 4: Petra and Wadi Rum – Timeless Beauty
Although I’ve been to Petra and Wadi Rum before, their beauty never ceases to amaze me. Walking through the narrow Siq and seeing the magnificent Treasury again felt just as magical as the first time.
From Petra, we traveled to Wadi Rum, where we experienced a breathtaking sunset safari tour. Staying overnight in a luxurious dome under a sky full of stars was an unforgettable experience. Wadi Rum’s timeless desert landscape always leaves me in awe.
Day 5: The Dead Sea – A Natural Wonder
The journey continued to the Dead Sea, one of Jordan’s most iconic destinations. My stay at the Sheraton Dead Sea Resort was nothing short of spectacular, with its relaxing ambiance and stunning views.
Day 6: Dead Sea and Salt – Relaxation Meets Culture
The morning was spent indulging in the Dead Sea’s unique offerings, from floating effortlessly in its mineral-rich waters to applying a rejuvenating mud mask. Later, we explored Salt, a charming town known for its cultural harmony and peaceful coexistence of different religions.
By evening, we returned to Amman and checked into the Fairmont Amman, a luxurious hotel with impeccable service and beautifully designed rooms.

Day 7: Amman – Exploring the Heart of the City
Our Amman city tour began with a visit to the historic Roman Theater, followed by exploring the bustling streets and iconic sights of the city. It was fascinating to see how Amman’s character has remained vibrant while evolving with modern touches. The Fairmont Amman provided a perfect retreat for our final night.
Day 8: Farewell to Jordan
The last day was a free day, giving me time to reflect on this incredible journey before heading to the airport. My flight with Royal Jordanian Airlines was as comfortable and pleasant as always, with friendly staff and excellent service making it a perfect ending to my trip.
A Journey of Rediscovery
Returning to Jordan after nearly a decade was both nostalgic and enlightening. This trip reminded me why I’ve always been drawn to this beautiful country: its warm hospitality, rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and—of course—the incredible food!
Jordanian cuisine deserves a special mention. From the traditional Mansaf, Jordan’s national dish, to the fresh and vibrant Tabbouleh, crispy Falafel, and much more, every meal was a feast for the senses. The flavors, spices, and hospitality that accompany Jordanian dining are truly unforgettable. And let’s not forget the desserts—whether it was the indulgent Knafeh or other traditional sweets, every bite was a celebration of Jordan’s rich culinary heritage.
This trip would not have been the same without the opportunity to savor the local cuisine and experience the unique way Jordanians make every meal feel like a gathering of friends and family.
