Mugla, one of the coastal provinces in southern Turkey, has several cities, including Fethiye, Marmaris, Gocek, Dalyan, and Bodrum.

I visited Bodrum before few years, it’s a small quite city, there’s no much activities there but the resorts are so nice and luxury so choose Bodrum if you’re looking for relaxing vacation

This summer I planed to visit Marmaris and Fethiye

The nearest airport is Dalaman airport, it’s about 1 hour driving from Marmaris center

The Airport

There are shuttles from Dalaman airport to Marmaris bus station in the city center, and to Fethiye city center. It’s about 4$/ person (They accept only Turkish Lira so make sure to have cash with you)

Or you can take Taxi directly to your hotel

Best time to visit

Mugla is coastal city and the water there is so clear and beautiful to swim so Summer it’s the best season to visit it

Marmaris, Fethiye and Bodrum season starts from June to the middle of September.

The weather is hot and humidity is high especially in July and August

Most of the hotels and shops are closed after the summer season ends so if you plan to visit Marmaris, Fethiye and Bodrum in the remaining months of the year

My trip plan:

I chose to stay at Marmaris Beach Hotel, it’s 4 star hotel with directly sea view, the hotel location is really good, it has its own beach and the rooms are clean but small

I spent first day swimming and touring in the city center

Day 2 visited Fethiye by a private car with driver, visited Oludeniz, Fethiye cable  car, Butterfly valley and Saklikent

Day3: Private trip visited Pamukkale and Salda golu

Day 4: Dalyan trip

Day 5: spent some time chilling and swimming before went to airport
